Granddaddy Purple
Grape, berry and sweet wine over damp earth.
Bred in the Bay Area in 2003 and the reason purple flower became a selling point in California. The colour comes from anthocyanins expressed by cold nights and is not itself an indicator of quality. A genuine sleep strain rather than a merely relaxing one.
Terpenes
Listed most dominant first. Terpenes drive the smell and a good deal of the character of the effect, which is why a 19% jar with a strong profile routinely beats a flat 28% one.
Reported effects
These are the effects most commonly reported for this cultivar. Individual batches vary a great deal, and so do people.
