A dessert strain you can use before dark. Rarer than it should be.
Almost everything descended from Gelato ends up sedating, which makes Gelonade unusual and useful. The Lemon Tree side carries it: this smells like actual lemonade, sweet and sharp at once, with the creaminess sitting underneath instead of on top.
Structure is good without being showy. Medium-dense, well trimmed, a proper cure, and the smell survived the trip, which is not a given with citrus-forward flower.
The effect is where it earns its place. Clear and slightly lifted for the first half hour, then it settles into something steady that does not fog anything up. I had a productive afternoon on it, which I cannot say about anything else in this lineage.
Forty-eight is at the top of what I would pay, and I would pay it again for this specific job: daytime flower that actually tastes like something.
Scorecard
Five scores out of ten. The overall is their average and is never set by hand, so it can never disagree with its own parts.
About Gelonade
A rare daytime option out of the Gelato line, and one of the cleanest citrus profiles on the current market. Limonene content is high enough to be obvious on opening the jar. Well suited to anyone who wants dessert flavour without sedation.
