Sedating in a way the label does not really prepare you for.
Pale to the point of looking dusty, which here is trichome coverage rather than anything wrong. Very dense, cured well, and it broke apart cleanly rather than crumbling.
The nose is quieter than the dessert name suggests: vanilla and cream, yes, but sitting under a doughy earthiness that takes a moment to find. It gives up more on the inhale than it does in the jar.
The effect is the point. Slow to arrive, maybe fifteen minutes, and then it keeps going for another twenty until you notice you have stopped doing whatever you were doing. Heavy, quiet and long. This is a nine on the high because it is completely reliable at the one thing it does.
Fifty is high but not unreasonable for flower grown this carefully. Do not make plans.
Scorecard
Five scores out of ten. The overall is their average and is never set by hand, so it can never disagree with its own parts.
About Ice Cream Cake
Among the most sedating cultivars in the dessert line and a genuine end-of-day option. Frost coverage is heavy enough to make the bud look pale. Regularly appears in top-shelf tiers across California.
